Acrylic on canvas. This painting is an attempt at an abstract landscape. The title is chosen for a few reasons. The main reason being the shape of the cliff on the left resembles the state of Minnesota on the map of America. The blue representing a glacier receding and also the sky above the cliff. Our borders on a map are arbitrary when mirrored in nature. I like to imagine this rock formation might have occurred naturally in the region of Minnesota millions of years ago. After the glaciers withdrew or when the climate was much hotter. Something fun to think about.
